Bernardo Moreira

I am a sound recordist, editor, mixer, and designer based in Bristol with four years of experience in dialogue, foley, and sound effects recording, editing, and mixing.

From a very young age, I realised that music felt natural and intuitive, teaching myself every instrument I could reach. In my late teens, I started playing the drums and formed a band with a couple of friends with whom I toured my home country, Portugal, for four years.

My curiosity about music technology led me to study sound engineering, where I discovered sound in the context of film and subsequently embarked on a bachelor's degree in sound for film & TV from Plymouth Marjon University.

The experience acquired working solo in various low budget film productions grew my desire to become a dubbing mixer. I have had the privilege of being involved in all stages of various productions, which allows me the possibility to continuously broaden my understanding of what a project needs and how to achieve it. The experience as a boom operator at Plural Entertainment, a prominent Portuguese production company, combined with the knowledge acquired through formal education, allows me to feel comfortable taking on any role in sound.
